When my kids were young we always took time from the hectic week of me working and them in daycare to read a book together. Whether it be funny or a learning about life book, we always enjoyed it.
Reading with your kids is a great way to spend time with them, break away from everyday stress and quality time with you as a parent.
Last week I was helping my daughter, now not so little unpack boxes when we came across one of my daughters and mine favorite book series by Peggy Parish who writes about a literal minded little girl name Amelia Bedelia. She gets herself into all sorts of situations that are just plain out laugh out loud funny.

I love to cook and enjoyed having my kids join me in the kitchen since they were little to help out. They loved anything that was in the dessert department from mixing the batter to the frosting my kids were always front and center ready to lend a helping hand.
With just a few items kids can turn these cupcakes into their very own works of art. Color store bought plain frosting with food coloring for different colors, red, yellow, blue, purple, etc. Put a spoonful of each color on an artist pallet you can cut our from paper plates or buy some inexpensive ones from a craft store. Give them plastic spoons and small spatula’s and let the fun begin. If you have old large shirts like smocks available hand these out to the kids for a real artist feel.
