by

If you sell on eBay, Etsy, Amazon or anywhere else online you know customer care is crucial. Online sales are most busy for the holidays and one of the things you do not want to overlook at anytime is a “Thank you for shopping with us” note when your customer receives their package.

That simple thank you can go along way and with the Thank you note be sure to add a link to your store, blog, email address, phone number and website, so your customer can contact you and maybe want to shop some more.

I found this great site that offers you free printable cards for many occasions but the one I have recently used it for is Thank you to my customers for their purchases. There are already made up templates or you could make one of your own. I include my thank you for shopping with me, my email address and a link back to my store. It is easy to do and in just minutes you can print this out on paper or cards its up to you.

Make Your Own Easy and Economical Lip Gloss (Easy Recipes)

by

In Winter and Summer your lips can get chapped unless you protect them from the sun and wind. You can make up your own lip gloss and have ingredients on the ready for when you need more.

To make a yummy chocolate lip gloss – heat 1 TBS petroleum jelly with one chocolate chip in the microwave for about 20 seconds or until the chocolate chip is fully melted. Take out carefully and stir until the chocolate is all blended. Put into an empty cosmetic jar and let cool completely before use.

Want to make a fruity flavor lip gloss? Simply add a spoonful of any flavored drink mix to another tablespoon of petroleum jelly and heat for about 25-25 seconds, remove carefully and stir well. Let cool in an empty cosmetic jar before using.
Lip Glosses should keep for up to one month.

You can use more petroleum jelly if you want to make more, just adjust the chocolate or fruit drink to taste.

Great project for the family and they would make wonderful gifts.

Doing This Will Lower Your Energy Bill All Year Round

by

Save money all year round by just adjusting and turning off your electric hot water heater. Yes, that item tucked away in the garage or other part of the home cost you money everyday.

First set your water heater to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Hot water above 120 can be considered hazardous.
The higher the setting the more your hot water heater has to work to keep that high temp and more cost your accumulating on your energy bill.

Set a timer for your hot water heater to come on if you have one will certainly help out on the bill.
If not, schedule a time of day that you and your family will need showers, cook and wash dishes, etc.
If your going to be at work, the kids at school then why have the water heater going all day with no one home. Turn it on when you get home and allow 20 minutes or less, depending on what kind of water heater you have to heat up or set a timer for it to come on 30 minutes before you get home.Going on vacation? Turn it off and save money while your gone.

Get out and Enjoy – Restaurants Are Offering Awesome Incentives

by

We all know times are tough, the economy, job loses and many living paycheck to paycheck. Business owner know this too and offer many incentives to get you out of the house, clicking deals on line to find ways of entertainment. With a little ingenuity you can get out and bring the family for a breakfast, lunch or dinner at your local restaurants.

My family and I headed out to the Outback Steak House a few weeks ago and they were packed. We had a 45 minute wait and decided to sit out on their veranda which was also packed. While we were waiting a waitress came by and asked if we wanted to order drinks and another server was handing out free samples of appetizers. Smart marketing on their part as we were sure to stay and wait for our table and their kindness was appreciated. We ordered a few drinks and when we paid for them, the waitress gave us a receipt with a short survey to take. Taking this survey meant we would get a free appetizer ( just love, the Bloom-in Onion) with our meal and yes we did that right there from a cell phone on line.

You can also go on line and become a member of your favorite restaurant if they offer membership and get coupons like buy one get one meals, appetizers, drinks and more sent to your email.

Get out and Enjoy :}

Coupons Too Good To Be True

by

I use coupons when I go to the grocery store. Yes, I clip, print and save these treasures in a coupon organizer. I plan my meals with the grocery store’s sale paper and match up my coupons. Some weeks are better then others, but all in all I save money with every trip.

One thing I do not want to experience is a fraudulent coupon once up a the register.
Here are some tips to help you spot what these counterfeit coupons may look like.

Look for a product size: Many of the counterfeit coupons will not have a specific size or no size at all.

Expiration date: Is the expiration date to good to be true? A whole year? A valid coupon will have a short range expiration date, after all the company providing the coupon wants you to purchase their product right away and this makes sense. By giving you a coupon they are not only offering you savings but also promoting what they want to sell with an incentive. Valid coupons usually run for a few weeks up to 3 months.

Check out the logo on the coupon. Have you ever seen a watch that is supposedly a Rolex and when you check out the name on the watch face it reads Rolax? Manufacturers of coupons are very careful how they layout the logo’s, words and so on and do everything they can to keep replication of the logo’s.

Freebies: Most manufacturers stopped making printable coupons for free products in 2002 to help prevent fraud.

Whether you get your coupons on line from the Sunday paper or in the mail, check them out before you go to the store.

I have found a place called TheGroceryGame.com where you can learn more about coupon savings, shopping lists and stores with the best savings in your area with the founder Teri Gault.
