Make Your Hair Shine Naturally With Rosemary Tea

by

I love cooking with fresh herbs and especially Rosemary. It is so versatile and adds great flavor to pork, beef, and chicken. Add it to some olive oil and you are on the way to a great dressing for salad or another flavor to cook with. I recently found that it is also great for your hair.

Easy to make up and easy to do. Steep a bag of rosemary tea for 10 minutes in a cup of hot water and let it cool. Put into a spray bottle, spritz your hair after washing and don’t rinse out. The compounds in the rosemary tea close the hairs outer shell (the cuticle) and smooth the strand of hair. Your hair will reflect light and be shiny.

When Life Gives You Lemons Start Cleaning!

by

Lemons are for more then just flavor they also are a natural disinfectant. Lemon has a ph level approximately 6 times more acidic than vinegar and can be a powerful cleaner with natural qualities. Whether you use Straight lemon juice, or in concentrate form it is great in the Kitchen and Bathroom.

Use them for an All-purpose Disinfectant Spray:
Fill an 8 oz. spray bottle with distilled water, and add 25 drops of lemon oil. Shake well, and use as a spray on counter tops, faucets, doorknobs, etc.Wipe with a clean towel as desired.
This is safe even if it gets on food items or surfaces that come in contact with food.

Clean and make your Microwave smell good
Instead of just water, heat 1/2 cup of lemon juice on high in microwave for 3 minutes. The lemon juice will steam-clean and make your microwave smell great. Wipe with a wet cloth and you are done.

Cutting Board Cleaner/Deodorizer:
I keep two cutting boards handy, a wooden one for cutting up fruits, veggies etc, and a plastic one just for meats. The lemon juice really gets into those nooks and crannies caused from cutting on the boards.
Scrub cutting board with baking soda and water, then rinse. Rub ½ a lemon on your cutting board, let sit 15 minutes. Then rinse.

Next time you have a lemon possibly going bad, cut it up and use the juice for cleaning.
